Community Pantomime Delights Audiences in Leyland
The Base on Broadfield, a community centre part of charity Key Unlocking Futures, delighted audiences this weekend with its free-to-watch production of Snow White at the South Ribble Civic Centre.
Packed with laughter, audience participation, and all the traditional pantomime charm, Snow White featured some memorable performances, colourful costumes, and a wonderfully wicked villain. Families of all ages joined in with enthusiastic cries of “It’s behind you!”, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere throughout the show.
The production showcased the talent and dedication of the local community, supported by a committed team of staff and volunteers both on and off stage.
Audience feedback was overwhelming, with the Mayor of South Ribble saying “Really well organised and delivered. Enjoyable, funny and caters for all. Amazing!”.
Director of Key Unlocking Futures, Ursula Patten, said “Key is so proud to have The Base at Broadfield as part of our family, and productions like this show exactly why. You've created something that brings people together and lifts spirits – thank you for your passion, your time, and your talent.”
